Bringing Indigenous Nations and industry
into business together

Partnerships
for lasting opportunity

Reconciliaction helps Indigenous Nations, development corporations and industry identify business opportunities, build relationships and establish commercially viable partnerships.

Our approach

From opportunity to enduring partnership

Opportunity Development

Identifying where community priorities, business capabilities and project needs can create commercial opportunities.

Partner Identification & Relationship Development

Connecting relevant organizations and helping establish productive business relationships.

Commercial Participation

Helping parties clarify their contributions, commercial interests and potential partnership arrangements.

Relationship Stewardship

Supporting commercial relationships beyond the initial introduction, within an agreed role.

Our role

More than
an introduction.

We bring the relevant organizations together and help work through the contributions, interests and arrangements needed to move an opportunity forward.

A business opportunity needs a clear purpose, capable partners and an arrangement that works for those involved. Our role is to help establish that foundation and, where agreed, support the relationship as it develops.

What We Do

For Nations

For Indigenous Nations and development corporations

We connect community and economic-development priorities with relevant commercial partners and specialist expertise, helping Nations consider opportunities and how they could participate.

For Indigenous Nations

For Industry

For industry and commercial partners

We work with industry partners to connect their capabilities with Indigenous business and development priorities, helping establish clear roles and a practical basis for working together.

For Industry

What We Do

From opportunity to partnership.

Reconciliaction works where Indigenous economic priorities and industry capabilities meet. We identify potential opportunities, connect relevant organizations and help develop commercial relationships with clear expectations.

Opportunity Development

We help identify opportunities arising from community priorities, project requirements and business capabilities. The initial discussion considers what each party wants to achieve, what it can contribute and which questions need further assessment.

Partner Identification & Relationship Development

We bring together organizations whose capabilities and interests may fit the opportunity. This includes facilitating introductions and helping the parties understand one another's priorities, requirements and expectations.

Commercial Participation

We help the parties explore how a partnership could work, including their contributions, responsibilities and commercial interests. Arrangements may involve a joint venture, revenue participation, a supply or service relationship, or another agreed structure.

Relationship Stewardship

Where agreed, we remain involved beyond the introduction to maintain communication, help address commercial questions and support the developing partnership. The extent of our role is defined for each engagement.

How we work

We begin with the opportunity and the people involved, then help clarify the expertise required, respective roles and next steps. Technical, legal and financial assessments are carried out by the appropriate specialists.

Partner-delivered expertise

Specialist capabilities brought into the partnership

The opportunity determines which expertise is required. Through our partner network, we connect the following capabilities. These services are delivered by the relevant partners, not directly by Reconciliaction.

Capital & Financial Structuring

Connections to capital and financial-structuring specialists for Indigenous infrastructure and community development opportunities.

Community Development, Housing & Strategic Advisory

Community development, housing advisory, strategic planning, funding strategy and development coordination. Support includes evaluating opportunities, identifying funding pathways and coordinating specialist input from early planning through implementation.

Heavy Civil & Engineering

Engineering, land development, civil design, site preparation, road construction and construction delivery.

Site Operations, Modular & Power

Modular facilities, remote workforce accommodation, site power, water management and equipment support.

Logistics, Procurement & Travel

Freight and heavy-equipment transportation, supply-chain services, purchasing support and corporate travel.

Risk Management, Safety & Reclamation

Site safety, industrial rescue, insurance and bonding, and native plant supply for restoration and reclamation.

For Indigenous Nations

Commercial partnerships that start with your priorities.

Reconciliaction works with Indigenous Nations and development corporations to explore business opportunities and connect relevant industry capabilities. The starting point is the Nation's priorities and how a proposed relationship could support them.

Start with the opportunity.

The discussion may begin with a development priority, a project requiring specialist support or a business opportunity being brought to the Nation. We help identify relevant partners and the questions that need to be addressed before moving ahead.

Consider how participation could work.

Participation may involve a joint venture, a supply or service relationship, revenue participation or another commercial arrangement. We help the parties explore what each can contribute, how they may benefit and the responsibilities involved.

Bring the right expertise into the discussion.

Where an opportunity requires housing advisory, development planning, engineering, financial or other specialist input, we help connect that expertise to the discussion. The relevant providers carry out the assessments and services required.

Keep roles and decisions clear.

Our role and relevant commercial relationships should be clear to those involved. Decisions remain with the Nation and other participating organizations through their respective processes.

For Industry

Commercial partnerships with Indigenous Nations.

We work with industry operators, suppliers and specialist providers on partnerships that connect their capabilities with Indigenous business and development priorities.

Our involvement centres on the commercial relationship: understanding the opportunity, bringing relevant parties together and helping establish a practical basis for working together.

Clear roles and commercial interests.

We help the parties clarify their contributions, responsibilities and forms of participation. Specialist providers remain responsible for their own work, while decisions are made through each organization's processes.

Support beyond the introduction.

Where agreed, we remain involved to maintain communication, help address commercial questions and support the relationship as it develops. An introduction is the start of a discussion, not a commitment from a Nation or a guarantee of work.

About

Commercial relationships with a clear purpose.

Reconciliaction Consulting Ltd. brings together business development, Indigenous relations and operational strategy to develop commercial partnerships between Indigenous Nations, development corporations and industry.

Our focus is on the relationship behind the opportunity: why the parties should work together, what each can contribute and how the arrangement can create value for those involved. We bring the relevant expertise into the discussion, with specialist services delivered by our partners.
